Our Story is a curated one-day summit at the Stanford Faculty Club on Sunday, December 13, 2026 (9:00 AM to 4:30 PM). Its mission is to grow our community’s representation and cultural presence in American society. About 225 people will be in the room: media and entertainment executives, founders building new ventures in film, journalism, music, the arts and social media, tech investors backing the creative economy, and young professionals looking for mentors. Over the day you’ll hear from storytellers on telling our story in America, watch films and talk with the people who made them, and meet the executives and investors who fund and distribute creative work. Small mentoring circles will pair rising talent with industry leaders. Speakers include Ms. Marvel co-creator Sana Amanat; filmmakers Mo Naqvi (Hanging by a Wire), Bassam Tariq (Your Mother, Your Mother, Your Mother) and Zakir Thaver (Salam); and leaders from Sundance, Disney, United Talent Agency, Pillars Fund, Apple, Altera, Bain Capital Ventures, McKinsey and Citi. Seats are limited, and early-bird tickets are $50 through December 5.
